New JK Colors?

Lol. I know you think the "he" is really me, but it's not. I have no interest in a two door (wife and three kids so JKU is a must). Plus I would never spend the extra for a 10th AE because I'd take off everything but the hood, including the red stickers.

okay.... i will believe you for the time being  but in 4 months, when you are rolling a '14 fancy purple JKUR, I will say I told you so... :p I feel the wool being slowly pulled over my eyes....

I'd love to see a deep eggplant purple like they used to have with the XJ. I would have had trouble deciding between that and gecko had they been out simultaneously.

I'm holding out for a 2wd four door, Sport with color matching top/fenders in the rare "Pumpkin Chiffon"......

Please tell me you lifted that pic off of the web (as opposed to snapping the pic in your sewing room). :cheesy:

I can confirm the 10th Ann. can be had with black leather. I saw an Anvil one on the back lot of my local dealer. It was a special order according to the salesman and it looked awesome.

Follow up. He did not place the order because he was getting conflicting information, including that it may be possible to order the 10th Anniversary with black seats instead of red.

Same guy swears to me he saw a 10th anniversary anvil jeep at Scheel's today with black leather seats. He is talking to his broker again to see if he can confirm.

I sure wish it was easier to get confirmed information on these damn vehicles. :crazy eyes:

I just ordered a 10th Ann a couple weeks ago. My build sheet lists black leather seats....... I'll let you know in 8 weeks.

According to the Jeep website (which is notoriously screwed up), you can in fact now order the 10th anniversary edition with black leather instead of brothel red leather. The website also lets you configure the 10th AE with several different exterior colors, including Rugged Brown. All interesting stuff. Plus, the picture of Anvil appears to be a totally different color now (although I'm almost certain this is just an error in rendering as opposed to a new and different anvil color.)

p.s. If there are any Chrysler higher ups out there reading this...spend a few bucks to hire some real IT staff to occasionally update the website. It sure would be nice to have an accurate picture of colors as well as a current menu of what is, or is not, available for order.;) Seriously, these aren't even the same color palettes.

I am actually digging on the "brothel red" interior.......But I was raised by a pack of wild prostitutes, so that may explain my gravitating towards the sultry/obnoxious color....

Went to the dealer today to check out the 10th anniversary edition. Anvil is much different in person than in the pics I've seen. It looked more dark gray and less blue...I like it a lot.

Still not a fan of the red seats but they are much darker (almost like a Cabernet) than I expected.

Overall, I thought it was a great looking Jeep and probably perfect for someone with no intention of changing wheels & bumpers.
