Their homeowner's insurance will cover those expenses while also considering your pain and suffering. You will get a good settlement if you are easy to work with and willing to negotiate. Call me anytime if you need help with that process, so long as it is not with Farmers Insurance.
Good luck and sorry this happened to you.
That's him! Little piece of crap
People do NOT need to own dogs if they cannot keep them under control. I do love dogs and have some very protective dogs, but they would never go after anyone who did not pose and obvious threat to me...That lady deserved to watch her dog(s) get shot by you as this was happening....
Agreed 100%.
With that said I have a professionally trained GSD (not in protection) so he is rather easy to control.
He's the same. He actually behaves better off leash than on. I love him but his food allergies and hip replacement a year ago (he's only 3.5y) I'm not sure I want another one after he's gone. Too much money spent. Awesome breed but unhealthy. If he ever bites someone not in "protection mode" he's getting a bullet immediately (talk about money wasted!) I won't put myself or anyone else through another potential-bite. Too much risk after the first time.I also own a GSD and obedience trained her myself. Absolutely the easiest dog to train and one of the most protective yet friendly. Don't jump my fence or pose a threat and you'll be just fine. I can have her off leash and she stays right with me no matter what animals or people are around. I had one growing up but this is the first I've owned and I'll be a GSD owner for life. I can't stand to see people being "trained" by their dogs (no matter the size) when out walking them. Being yanked and dragged all over.
GSD have bad hips. Goldens have cancer. Poor breeding is screwing up a lot of breeds. There's a Netflix documentary on it.He's the same. He actually behaves better off leash than on. I spend a lot of time with cattle dogs and they can be extremely protective and aggressive if they feel their space is being violated.
But you were just walking down the street and did nothing wrong. I blame the dog owners on this. It is not the dogs fault, they are not made to be house dogs, they are working dogs that need to be worked. There a reason there called cattle dogs.
People suck!
I would definitely pursue the attack for sure, just remember the dogs were doing what their bred to do.

Hahaha. Best response yet.Shoot the owner, get the dog vaccinations and train them properly. You'll have a lifelong friend.
Courtesy is given. Respect is Earned.
Sorry you have to go through this...I would suggest going the full monty with this...had it been your (or anyone's) child, the bite site could have been the face or neck. The owner needs to be culpable for negligence...and any future incident must be prevented.
When I was about ten, my next door neighbor had a pretty nasty English sheep dog; I suspected that it was abused. My sister was next door playing when the dog attacked her; I jumped over the fence to get the dog off her; it then attacked me. He weighed as much as I did, and by the time I was able to get back over the fence, I had multiple bites on my hands, arms and legs. Someone called the police; when they arrived, the dog attacked one of the officers, who shot him dead in the front yard. They tested the dog for rabies...I was beginning to worry that I was about to go through the rabies shot protocol when I was informed that the dog did not have rabies. My sister was also bit, and it was pretty traumatic for a seven yo...
I still love dogs, still own them, as well as my sister...
