Yeah it totally sucks. I lost my my black lab a few years ago and it still sucks.

Minerva ran out into the street and was struck by a car.

We rushed her to the vet. She didn’t make it. She didn’t make it and I can’t stop crying. She was just two years old.

There’s a big hole in my family and I don’t know what to do

Just like the Cat Distribution System, the Dog Distribution System delivers whether or not you are ready. I came across a 1 year old Border Collie that needs a new home because his owner cannot take him with her when she moves.

After losing my lab our little rescue dog was depressed and lonely. So we came to the decision to rescue another. We cam across Luna she was abandoned pregnant in the desert when found all the pups except one were dead. She was skin and bone and probably not far from death herself.
But now she’s home healthy and happy

Yes. I’d make the three hour drive to meet him tomorrow morning, if my wife was ready. She’s not against the idea, she just needs more time.

When one loses a companion, an expected "replacement" is not, because they are always different in important ways and all creatures have their unique ways. As a result, you will miss your lost companion for many years. It is still good to have another companion.
