In The Shop - Disciple Off Road

For Synergy, the tie rod is in the same location/height as factory. They do offer the "high steer" option which is just the knuckles pre-drilled for the draglink flip.

The RockJock high steer knuckles do in fact raise the tie rod up 2-3/4" though.
at what front lift height, do you recommend raising the steering geometry for JL/JTs?

How many companies are going to say “The last balljoint you will ever need!”? Haha if you made an indestructible balljoint, you would be a billionaire. Metalcloak at it again with their marketing and even putting Dynatrac and the “ball joint deletes” on blast haha too funny not to share.

LOL - I've yet to see a "re-buildable" ball joint that's actually easy to rebuild or even be cost effective to do. Good sales gimmick though and I bet they sell a ton of them. Certainly, if it's churched up on the internet, it's gotta be the shit.

So gay. How many times can a ball joint be redesigned to stay relevant?

Last BJ you'll ever need? No such thing.

On a serious note, how often do people really change out their ball joints especially if they've upgraded to HD ones? And, is it really that big of a deal? I mean, if you have the know how to do it once, if only to get something like these new MC ones in, why not do it again when you need to way way in the future. I guarantee you that most guys could do it faster and for less money than to try and "rebuild" something like this on a Jeep.

100%. And if you've done it once, you antiseize everything so the 2nd time stuff comes apart easier.

Only person I've seen attempt rebuild was Overlander and IIRC it was such a pain that he gave up.

With all that said, I can almost guarantee that an easily influenced new guy is going to sign up and ask about these new ball joints in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1

Followed by - you guys and this forum sucks because you won't tell me what I want to hear! 🤪
At what point do we just say,”yea you def need to get those” than maybe they’ll be like “you guys are jerks, I’m not buying shit”

I think the 4 door JK really brought forth the plethora of aftermarket products similar to the Fast and Furious movie turning any car into a vicarious street car. But now, seems like nothing really new gives a boner. All the aftermarket stuff is just the same shit with a new name.
Sad but oh so true. Looking back over the last 20 years, I can tell you that we went from a ton of independent companies all competing to make cool and new stuff to just a handful of megacorps that make lame ass "look at me" shit.

Hoping to have a video up that kinda shows this soon.

That's because a JLXR is so capable out of the box nothing but bolt ons are needed.
