Those were an option for the Sprinter a-pillar lights but I figured they'd be overkill. They look good though. Are those now a headlight option?

Yes definitely not as bright but these were made specifically to run as headlights hence the DOT. Of course that kinda sucks for light output in off road settings but I can tell you, the standard LP6 on the road pisses off a lot of people. Those are pretty sweet looking. But only half the brightness of the LP6 pro. Which I guess is the point. Does the included harness tap directly into the Jeep's headlight controls? I wonder if that harness can be used for the LP6 pro instead of relying on two aux switches.
For an a-pillar, I would still use the standard LP6 for the light output. These were really designed as a headlight option. They are actually popular for some motorcycle applications as well. Those were an option for the Sprinter a-pillar lights but I figured they'd be overkill. They look good though. So essentially what you're doing on mine but DOT approved light levels. With the DOT LP6 on a JK you'd still have to use the aux switchesYes definitely not as bright but these were made specifically to run as headlights hence the DOT. The JK specific kit works as follows: If you have halogen lights from factory, then they include a seamless pigtail that plugs into the oem harness. If you Jeep has the factory LED lights, then you will have to run an independent harness that they offer (Lockout harness) to your switch system. This harness does still incorporate the high and low beam.
For the JL/JT, the full kits include the brackets and pigtail harnesses for plug and play install. You just have to order the kit specific for your current light meaning, if you have LED from factory or halogen.
I wanted to try these out so I can have real feedback/experience with them. If I do like them, I may move my current LP6's back to the bumper as they are awesome out in the desert.
Well we actually did the standard LP6 on yours with the lockout harness since at the time, these weren't released. If you want to do the DOT ones, let me know. Since you had halogen lights from factory, their pigtail kit will work to use oem light switches. So essentially what you're doing on mine but DOT approved light levels. Actually im mistaken its the LP4 they offer but im sure you could put the LP6 but that's a big light. I went with the XL Pro for a-Pillar lights. Probably should have gone with the squadrons. The XL's are really bigFor an a-pillar, I would still use the standard LP6 for the light output. These were really designed as a headlight option. No keep going as planned I was just thinking in the future if I piss too many people off lol. Good to know I can make the switch if I want to in the future though.Well we actually did the standard LP6 on yours with the lockout harness since at the time, these weren't released. Oh yeah LP6 on the a-pillar is pretty big. The XL's look good their though in my opinion. They are also pretty dang bright.Actually im mistaken its the LP4 they offer but im sure you could put the LP6 but that's a big light. I went with the XL Pro for a-Pillar lights.
