I think I need a new muffler

I think I need a new muffler. I've spent 3 days now trying to massage a new bumper into place - trimming and cutting and test fitting. I couldnt get the holes to line up. So after busting out the big guns (plasma cutter, thanks WJCO!) i can finally move the bumper far enough back on the frame rails.



Except now i cant move it high enough because the G$&%^ DAMM&%&*(#:banghead::banghead::banghead:F#@#$** muffler is in the way.



I'm not looking for a complete cat back replacement. I dont need some high performance shenanigans, I'd rather not mess with the sound.

I just want a smaller muffler. Dynomax, where you at?

If you're dragging your rear cubby, you've got more problems than that beast of a muffler is gonna fix. [emoji23]

Mufflers are pretty soft. Wang it a few times with a BFH and it'll go.

Thinking about it some more, you may be able to loosen the clamp on the muffler and knock it on a little further to get what you need.

I cut mine off with a sawzall, but battery died before I could get all the way through. Fast forward two weeks, we had a flood and I went through some high water. All of the sudden muffler was no longer there.

Good idea.

..and the cubby skid plate has definitely done it's job a few times. :thumb:

I vote for the hammer, although a little more noise and you can tell when you are really sending it.
