Personally, I couldn't care less where something is made as long as it's high quality and won't fail on me when I need it, or endanger someone's safety. Sadly, many of the teraflex parts that break could leave you stranded on the trail unless you can do a good trail fix. And with the tire carrier, that has the potential to kill someone behind you on the highway. The fact that they refuse to do a recall on them is pretty shocking, because they still break after being redesigned.
Also, customer service isn't just about sending out more replacement parts all the time. After all, the best part is the one that didn't need to be replaced in the first place. Customer service is about treating your customers right, and the last thing you do is blame the customer. The fact that they blame so many failures on "installer error" is appalling considering these aren't one offs. It's not like most people can't read or follow simple directions. They really should be asking themselves, "are the instructions that bad?" Or, "is there something else wrong with the parts?" Yet they refuse to do that. That's why I'd never buy from them.
