Covering my bases before I order

Yes that is true. I could not get my lowers short enough however.
Uppers did the trick and in the end I didn't need lowers for my PR.
Hmmm so if you couldn't get your lowers short enough maybe I can get away with stock lowers and adjustable uppers only. I still feel like the unlimited isn't going to set up correctly with only 1" of lift.

I didn't know it wasn't your daily, so the caster might not be that big of a deal.
I use mine for business as well so I tend to need it to track straight on the highway.
Sure is interesting pulling up to a customers with a suit in a JK on 37s for a business meeting lol.
Your calculation is a bit wrong though, you only need one set of control arms to set it up properly. Preferably uppers.
I got by with my stock control arms at first, but then again I've always had my lift.
I'm running my stock driveshafts, I actually found the angles got better because of the additional pinion angle.
The pinion pointing upward actually created more clearance than I had between the exhaust on my stock housing.
I'm still running stock brake lines as well I just removed them from the lower bracket on the spring bucket.
2012+s came with longer factory brake lines. I'm also running 12" travel shocks with a loooot of droop.
At the end of the day it's your Jeep and I think you'll be happy with the PR which ever route you go anyway.
Do you have a 4dr or a 2dr? Not sure how much of a difference that makes for running stock driveshafts but I'm in a 2dr but I see your point about the pinion pointed more up will give me more clearance over the exhaust. I know what you mean with the break lines since I unbolted that to get the 4dr springs in.
So you set it up with all four stock front crontol arms and a 3" lift?
I just really don't know about making it work on a 1" lift, even though I do plan later to run a 3" I don't want to force myself to lift my jeep more just to make that housing work when in the end there are plenty of people running stock axles on 3"+ lift just fine and it will set up just fine on a 3" later.

At the same time it is hard because if I already had the 3" lift I would get the unlimited housing and not look back. But if I wait until I can afford the 3" lift trial leader 37s a carrier to hold the 37 all at the same time I'm stuck driving a jeep I can't stand to off road because 3.21 suck monster dick..... even on 33s

I had only lowers originally. Fully slammed with the stock uppers the spring buckets bowed to the back.
The axle needed to rotate forward so I picked up a set of uppers, extended them about an inch and it was bang on.
I don't think you can really do any harm honestly. The goal is six caster four pinion with a prorock.
That's only an extra two degrees of both that a stock Jeep runs, which in reality you probably couldn't even see.
All of the bracketry is in the same location, the only difference is the C's are turned more.
You can run eight degrees caster, two pinion until you add more lift with no problems - I did until I bought my uppers.
That will retain your stock geometry in terms of angles. You might incur a tiny bit of spring bow at 1" lift, but it will do no harm.
**It's not like a standard housing where you are extending lowers and reducing the pinion angle, that is what creates issues.

**Correction on the bracketry, I actually believe it's rotated two degrees back to match the additional pinion angle - which probably explained the bit of spring bow I had.

So this is the picture that always comes to mind when I contemplate just going unlimited housing. I believe he is on a 2.5-3" lift and from the look of the pic he is running stock lowers as I would be as well. Since I'm on a lower lift my spring perches with be rotated even farther back than his. Which to me looks like adjustable uppers would do the trick in fixing the spring bow. Now the question would be if I toss in adjustable uppers to rotate the spring perches level is my pinion angle going to be way to high? The pinion yoke would be pointed up pretty high, but how much I'm not sure.
I am probably way over thinking this and it may just have to be a buy it then figure it out as I go kinda deal, i just don't want to end up spending a ton extra money on parts to set up the unlimited housing when I could just buy the standard housing and be done.

It would only be two degrees higher at most, which in reality is an extremely small adjustment.
Mine weren't bowed that bad, even when I had my control arms set for the stock housing.
Entirely your call, just helping you weigh some options

I went with the standard housing and wished I had done the extra caster. With that being said, it's a custom project I did. WJ stock caster is 9. It's a JK axle with stock 4 caster. And the bracket kit manufacturer recommended the install be set at 5-6. So in my case, I didn't want to gamble with it not knowing how it would come out. But now that it's done, I really wished I would have gone with the extra caster.

If you're looking for a pr44. I know their was a guy on here in Az selling a new one with Arb and factory shafts and dynatrac bjs for like 4k.

Only issue I have with his is it's got 5.13, not a huge deal but I was wanting 4.88 I think 5.13 are too much gear for 33s. Trust me I have been watching his post for a while now but mostly writing it off since it's an unlimited haha

Didn't even thing about gears. Lol would be good for when you go to 37s. 4.88s would be good. I have 4.56 with my 37s.

Go with 5.13 and drive slow for a little while. You'll want 5.13 with 37's.

If I had a set time frame I knew I was getting the 37s then I might consider it, but my wife is currently applying for PA school which may make my time on 33s longer so..... I'd rather not have to drive 65mph at 3200rpm haha
5.13s on 33s will make you want to blow your brains out. Sort of.

According to the gear chart 5.13 with my tires at 70 is 3k rpm actually not as bad as I thought.

Just when I think I have it all figured out it all changes again
