Building of Crash

Glad it was in the cards to keep the jeep, Crash is looking awesome with the bumper chop!

I'm also finding that my ride is significantly better with more weight in the back. Maybe its just a 2 door thing

No huge updates. Got bored tonight, so i decided to spice things up a bit.

I have some other projects in mind as well. Probably going to make a set of zipper pulls and Door Limiting straps for Crash.

Small updates today, went over my dads to help him split a cord of fire wood and while i was there, decided to clean crash up a bit, gave him a MUCH needed bath, and touched up some paint on my sliders from wheeling. Also threw in my new to me weathertech mats i found for a steal on craigslist.

Well, i had a pretty scary ride home from work yesterday, where i got a loud thunk from my front passenger tire everytime i hit the brake. And when i was going slow to stop at a redlight it would shimmy all over and grind and grab. Then i would release the brake and it would stick really hard. Theres an auto zone right on the way so i stopped in and grabbed pads and rotors, knowing i was getting by on the skin of my teeth with pads. Left the jeep at my parents bc its closer and i didnt want to limp my jeep 5 miles home, then 5 miles back to my parents this morning to work on it.

Jacked the jeep up with intentions of doing pads and rotors, popped the passenger side tire off to discover this wonderful new scratch on the inside of my beadlock.

With a quick inspection, i was dumbfounded when i saw my bRake caliper was only being held on by one of the two bolts, and the one was half way out.

Hopped in my wifes car, quick drive to the stealership for a new bolt, $14 later for a freaking bolt, got her buttoned back up, and getting ready to take her for a ride.

I have about 1/8" of pad left and ny rotors arent nearly as bad as i thought. So im fighting with myself to save the pads and rotors for this summer, when i will have to replace, or return them and put the $150 towards progrips.
