Any Mountain Bikers?

Got a box of these. My ol steed is a 2007 Ellsworth Epiphany. Still works great but is fitted with 26" wheels. Tires are as hard to find as sasquatch. Found these directly from Kenda for $10 each. I bought 8...haha.

Nice, good buy. I have a friend up in the mountains who runs a super OG Ellsworth.

Yuup

the prices these days are nuts

Yea prices are insane. I definitely buy used.

But even if it’s got a couple seasons on it and needs new suspension, we all know that stuff is upgradable!

Disappointed to find this dental floss actuating my dropper post. It broke in less than a year. Yea it’s a low end $160 dropper, but I at least would have expected a bit heavier gauge nylon.

The nylon is routed at a 90 degree angle over this little shaft with a groove in it and gets pulled by a steel cable over and over…

Yup.
I’ve had tons of problems with droppers too. Same thing, sharp bend of the cable at the bottom. I’m going AXS on my next one but it’s stupid expensive.

They are pricey, but I’m likely headed that way as well. I was skeptical of the reliability of wireless but a lot of pros swear by it. Transmission as well…

I love wireless shifting. I was skeptical too. But I’m all in now. No way I could go back. It just works. Every single time. Zero issues

less than 30yo me - the need for speed and air, damn the nuts on the landings...

me today, going too fast!! going too fast!! breath, breath, brake!! ... as everyone younger than me and behind me, "hey old man, you going to go soon?"
Lol nowadays these downhill and enduro bikes have such a slacked angle and low seat, stand up on the pedals and send it!

Damn that looks like fun! Hoping to get a bike this next year.
Hell yea, have fun. Lots out there to choose from. My 2013 Yeti is going strong.

Man I forgot about this thread! Been so long since I've been out riding. I'd absolutely huck it off that wooden feature haha
Yea man, I’ve been pushing to ride more this year. Getting my money out of my park pass. In years past, that hasn’t always been the case.

lol, I definitely wear more pads in my thirties…

It’s true. You see guys like Brandon Semenuk running a single crown fork at Rampage…

I will say, I’ve got my eye on a dual crown fork for the first time. Bike park sells their rentals. It’s a 2024, been used one season. $3,000. Comes with a full suspension tune and new tires. Going to check it out Saturday…

Hell yeah man I say send it! I hope to add another bike to the stable when I have more time to ride next year. DH bikes are absolute park rippers. I’m a big Trek fan so would probably go for a Session. Been eyeing a new Slash for quite some time too.
