Had Safelite come out and they did a great job of installing the new one completely crooked and with the driver side upper corner raised above the frame. The factory seal was also rolled in several spots. I was working and didn’t check it before he leftNow for a warranty appointment.

That’s bullshit for sure. I’ve had good experiences with them in the past, and just recently. Maybe a new guy.Yeah...not sure how you F it up that bad and not notice/fix it. Super lame
Seriously! Don’t they have a cool mount thingy for it? I have used them many times with no issues so this was a first.I used to install windshields. Pretty hard to fuck up like that. I'm really surprised being Safelite.

What in the actual hell?? I don’t think I’ll ever use Safelite nowView attachment 434624View attachment 434625View attachment 434626
The last time safelite did my LJ they broke my mirror compass and completly messed up the molding.
On the TJ and LJs they have a reel of molding then they hand cut it to length and I guess they ran out and just kind of used extra pieces to try to fill the gap. Like you, I was busy in the shop gave him a tip and didnt look at it until like 30 minutes later. They did not mention anything about them breaking the mirror or running out of molding. I immediately called safelite and they opened a case. Luckily they take before and after pictures so they clearly saw the mirror module was perfectly fine and old molding was cut to proper length before the replacement, and then they saw the mirror module hanging in the after picture. Needless to say I had a new windshield installed again 3 days later, and the new tech apologized and was just as upset
