2024 Jeep JL Sport Upper Control Arm Anger

Hello. Yesterday I started my first lift kit. So one complaint I have on the 2024 model is whatever the heck is in the picture is in the way of the bolt. It took me easily over 30 minutes just to get the bolt out and then the same to get it in. I couldn’t find a video or instructions that showed this horrendously placed part, but i eventually got it.

Someone should so do a video for how to do a lift with the 2024-2025s or just how to get past this thing. I think everyone would be eternally grateful. IMG_6543.jpeg

How hard would it have been to take the vacuum canister off? Looks like a few bolts would have let you get a better chance to take that bolt out.
Or is it more complicated than that? Can't see everything from this angle.
Kind of what I was thinking. I see one nut and one bolt and with them off (and or any other that I can't see in the pic), I bet it would have been a lot easier to remove the control arm bolt.

There are two bolts to remove on the mounting bracket that will allow you to swing it out of the way. You’ll be good 👍🏼

I’ll also add this is only on the 2.0 turbos.

See I agree with the theory, I did that but then the cables are so tight that the movement is minimal. It would have required me really finagling my way up into the abyss to undo the Christmas trees.

The clamps were just all over the place. I went to sleep after doing that, then the track bar. Today I have to do my sway bars and the rear springs, shocks, and track bar. Then I can stop staying in a 150 degree garage

Super easy but resulted in minimal movement. I’m honestly really shocked no one included it in their instructions anywhere. Mopar takes the easy way out and doesn’t have instructions as to how they install it
