1985 CJ-8 Scrambler Restoration

Starting to make some progress now. All body panels have been dipped, cleaned and epoxy primed except for the tub. That is coming off next week and going to blasting.

Fusion Axles, Alcan springs, and PSC steering are all in and we are going to get the rolling chassis set up over the next couple of weeks. Engine is still a few months out so any hope of having this done this summer is out.

The axles are just massive when you compare them to the old Dana 30 and AMC 20 that we’re under it. Fusion does build amazing quality assemblies.

I'll have so much more confidence in the Jeep with those under it, especially with the 360 powering them.

Its a bucket list goal to get the Scrambler out there and run a bunch of trails with it. It will be a couple years until I slow down enough to do it, but I'll get it there some day!
