Yep! You have to hit highway speeds for some amount of time to distribute the beads and then slow down to the speed limit so they stay in their “balanced” position. Good excuse for when you get pulled over for speeding in a 35 zone or excessive acceleration off the line. But officer, mah beeeeads!

Good stuff. I was contemplating using my considerable welding skills (😂) to build one of these at some point but this would be better. Also, interesting there’s a torque spec for the hardtop bolts. Haha Only downside I see to this is that it makes taking the hardtop off a bit more of a pita.

Yeah, metal debris gets in the locker position sensor and you have to replace them which are usually backordered. Just buy two of these, fix the one and keep the other in the Jeep for when the other one goes bad… https://www.zautomotive.com/products/z-locker-oem-1

I personally don’t believe in extended warranties for anything I buy… there’s always a catch that screws you over at some point… especially in the case of vehicles that have any sort of “mod” to them. Read the the fine print!
