A cargo rack shelf in a Jeep Wrangler JL can make a big difference in how you organize and pack gear in the back of it. No more just cramming everything in from floor to ceiling and then having to take it all back out, just to get to one thing at the bottom. In this video, you'll get to see just how easy it is to install a FABTECH Interior Cargo Rack, using a basic set of tools and in just minutes.

Also, if you're a fan of Ripley, be sure to stick around till the end 😁

You did a SEMA video this year and there was a headliner & soft shelf vendor I can't think of. Do you know if the soft shelf was ever released?

That would be the one that Hazard 4 was featuring and to the best of my knowledge, it is not out yet. I do work with them from time to time and I'm sure they'll give me a heads up once it's out.

I like that style of rack, wish it was adjustable to lower and wider.

I made a DIY with a HD wire shelf rack I had, was just futzing around in the Jeep, grabbed the shelf to see if it would fit and idea that didn't suck became a reality lol

Ripley ... spit it out man!! tell me!! tell me now!!! she's smart!

Honestly, whether it be this rack or the top of a security deck or a home made solution, I really do find that having a shelf like this helps out a lot when it comes to packing.

And yes, Ripley sure has a way of letting us know when we're taking too long :ROFLMAO:

Nice looking setup, another great video.

Too bad something like that wouldn't work in the JT.

Only thing I would mention, might want to put a rubber insulator between the mounting flange of the rack and the hard top.

I have been running one of these for like four years now. (Not a fabtech since I don’t think they had them out) They work great. I replaced the lock nuts with a toothed lock washer and some wing nuts so I can remove it easy. No issues either. Looks good in there. 👍🏻

These racks are quite useful. I mounted my breaker bar, winch cable, and miscellaneous items on the underside of the rack using velcro straps. Items I don't want to go digging for and can keep in the Jeep all the time.

Good stuff. I was contemplating using my considerable welding skills (😂) to build one of these at some point but this would be better.

Also, interesting there’s a torque spec for the hardtop bolts. Haha

Only downside I see to this is that it makes taking the hardtop off a bit more of a pita.

If you mean in the inside of a JT, are you saying in place of a rear seat? Otherwise, there are options that are similar for the bed.
Great video as always, been looking at these recently. Love Ripley!
Thanks and I think you'd find something like this to be very useful. Happy to hear you enjoy seeing Ripley too :)

Now that's a hell of an idea! I might have to do the same (y)
