Merry Christmas everyone.

Switched my radio out this morning so I have GMRS and Race Radio(VHF) frequencies all in one radio. The tech guy at Powererx was very helpful in the programming. I’m hoping to find a dual band stubby/ghost antenna instead of the one I ordered with the radio.

Mine have been used a lot, we did a lot of early morning runs in Big Bend and I use pretty every time the we are out at night on the roads.

I’ve been running the amber and whites together and no issues yet. I guess I need to look at separating them if it damages the lights.

A maze is correct. After speaking with some radio guys and the guy(was very helpful) who runs Powerwerxs here in the states I purchased the radio I linked previously. It will do GMRS and all VHF frequencies.

I am trying to see if I understand this. Take this radio for example- Link GMRS operates between 462 and 467 MHz Race Radios operate on VHF frequencies. The sample radio lists this- So would this radio communicate with both?

I tried searching as I thought I had asked the question but wasn’t sure.

I am completely ignorant when it comes to radio communication. I have a Midland GMRS radio in my Gladiator now. Reading Eddie’s New Years run thread I see PCI and Rugged Radios are required, I can’t make the trip out west but I would like have the right equipment for future runs. Can someone...

No new updates as of now. Installing my new rear upper control arms and small rear skid we built on thursday. Then heading to Hot Springs between Christmas and New Years.

We will be in Hot Springs between Christmas and New Years. I am wanting to hit Hidden Falls sometime in January before my JT goes under the knife for the motor swap. K2 and Wolf Caves is on the short list also.
