What would be the benefit of carrying 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 in or any combination of the three as opposed to just carrying one size since you can pretty much cover the 10mm-21mm in 1/2 inch drive?

I use the Yakima roof rack and it works well for me (i.e. surfboards and snow boards). Each rack slides forward and back so there is plenty of adjustability and I think it is rated up to two or three hundred lbs but not sure on that. And it is easily removable if you want to go without it for...
