Can I put a jack on my exhaust crossover and bend it up a little?

Good point. The previous owner must have done that, I upgraded the shaft and added skids later, so didn't even consider that the exhaust had been modified.

Can I put a jack on my exhaust crossover and bend it up a little?

I have a feeling this is a bad idea, but I was wondering if it would be possible to put a jack on my exhaust (at the lowest point shown in this photo) to slightly bend it so it's maybe 1/4" to 1/2" higher? It doesn't appear to be supported anywhere near there. Will it give/bend if pressed, or am...

Storage prep, leaving Jeep for 3 months

I have a Yellow top Optima, so worse case it should handle being drained better than a standard battery, but I already have a battery tender, so I'm going to use it just because it can't hurt.

Storage prep, leaving Jeep for 3 months

My garage is attached. I haven't noticed any evidence of rodents, but I suppose it can't hurt to put a few traps out.

Storage prep, leaving Jeep for 3 months

I'll go through the tank of gas within a month of returning.

Storage prep, leaving Jeep for 3 months

I'm not going to be around, so not an option.

Storage prep, leaving Jeep for 3 months

Yeah, I figured I probably didn't need to worry much about my tires since they're DOT legal radials, not off road bias plys... But since they're pretty new (37" MT Baja Boss AT), that investment is fresh in my mind.

Storage prep, leaving Jeep for 3 months

I'm going have to leave my Jeep unused in my garage for about 3 months. What all should I do to prepare it? I was planning on putting Stabil in the fuel and running it through the system for a few miles, putting it on a battery tender, and probably jacking it off the ground just to make sure I...

    How to treat rust??

I have a good amount of surface rust forming on my axle and some suspension components. I've done a bit a reading but am still not really sure what the best course of action is. I'm going to start by cleaning the surface a bit with flapper disk where possible, wipe it down and spray with...

Trigger S-Pod light when Jeep is in reverse?

I would still like to be able to control the light with the switch, even when the ignition isn't on. I was also concerned that adding this light to the brake light circuit might overload it.

Trigger S-Pod light when Jeep is in reverse?

I have small LED light on my spare, it's connected to an S-Pod that was installed by the previous owner. I was wondering if it would be possible to wire it up to function as a reverse/backup light as well? So it would come on when I hit the switch on the S-Pod or when I put my Jeep (manual, if...

    Tire shop damaged tire

That was kind of my thought, That was basically my thought, just annoying to have any damage before they're even on the Jeep.

    Tire shop damaged tire

I bought a set of tires through a local store part of a chain and mounted them on beadlocks. I didn't remember until I had a couple mounted that they're asymmetrical and had one backwards. The shop said they'd remove it for me (I had already set the bead). I just noticed a chunk (probably only...

KMC Machete vs Grenade beadlock weight

True. Unfortunately I don't get to wheel as much as I'd like as I have three little kids and the closest place is about 3 hours away, so balancing drivability around town is important (trying to keep from hurting braking and acceleration performance too much). I'm also going to be on my stock...

KMC Machete vs Grenade beadlock weight

I've been considering beadlocks and was surprised to see such a weight difference between these two: Machete Crawl KM22979050538N: ~45 lbs Grenade Crawl KM23579050538N: ~35 lbs Overall the appear very similar, and even have the same load rating, I was surprised to see that the Machete is nearly...
