How is the ride quality with that change?

I can't say I have a lot of experience with the 250/250 setup as I haven't owned this JK long. There is a difference with the 300 lowers, but not very much according to my butt. It does corner a lot flatter. Im sure others here can give a better take on it. What air pressure are you running with the Grapplers on the street?

23.5 at all 4 corners seems to be doing well. Just hit 2000k miles on them, so time will tell. Goes in Friday to double check alignment to be safe

I need to start dropping my pressure some. I have been running 30 cold. Im still getting some walk with mine on sunken out asphalt roads. I think the 20X12 wheels and spacers are just magnifying the 40 X15.5 effect.

Yes 30 is high, esp for a toyo. I'd start with 26 cold and go down from there. I'll note that before my hydro asst turning was a challenge once I hit 25psi. I always loved my toyos, great tire but did have a slight walk to the right. My 35s,37s, an 40s all did that. With my setup now it honestly drives amazing. Only complaint is the hit into the rear bumps while street driving. Otherwise I can cruise at 70mph with one finger on the hwy no issues. And a very smooth ride around town. The driving characteristics are better than it's ever been since a basic 3in lift an 35s. The more I look into it, your advice with the 300 front lower and more pre load in the rear may be exactly what I need. Might put me close to 5in of lift but with my type of wheeling I should be just fine

Agreed. I bought this Jeep with the 40's, so I can't say how much improvement I would get dropping down on width and a little height. I hate spacers, but they're gonna have to stay until new rubber is needed. Just not many people standing in line wanting a 40 wide in my area without giving them away. I would love to have a PSC setup, but I need something real up front to bolt it to first.

I think I may have gained nearly a full inch going to the 300, but I need to bring it down some. This pic has the new springs and you can kind of see where my preload is.

Anyone know what rates the EVO HD EVO-S101R rear spring package comes with?

FYI Evo told me today this comes with 250 Upper Springs making the rear 250/250. They said my 4door with full steel armor/fenders/cage/spare 40/60s would need the HD spring package.

The ride is so much better and I'm not hitting the bump stops like before. I hit about 75mph on a washboard road earlier today and was very pleased with the ride. A friend was watching me come towards them and said the suspension was going crazy but the body was flat.

Lol i do plan on doing it again with a video. I want to see it for myself as well. Maybe put a GoPro under the jeep. The silver coils will take some getting used to but the ride has me in love with them all over again.

What springs went where and why those rates?

Wow.... I'm running 250/250 and I am cranked with preload on the passenger side, but that's nutz!!!!!!

Yeah, just having one passenger in the back seat on the trail last weekend was throwing me into the bump stops on little dips. It was very frustrating. The Evo carrier changed the rear end a lot. If i open the carrier i can watch the left side raise and the right side drop with the weight shifting, lol. I'm going to have a friend fab up some mounts for the rotopax on the carrier similar to how ORE did on one of their builds. I don't think the added weight will affect these springs at all.

Front - 225/325
Rear - 275/325

Honestly Havoc40 came up with the spring rates and I took

Do either of you two have more than usual weight in the rear for the more heavier spring load than front? What overall lift did you set at? Do you prefer a more stiff ride? Is your set up more towards high speed rather than rocks? Sorry for 20 questions lol! I have a guy that gets these springs for a decent deal and I'm just about to pull the trigger

My lift height is at 14" under the spring perch. The rear of mine just has the evo carrier with a 37 on a chamber pro, subwoofer box with 3 amps, plus all the weight of the fuel tank compared to the front. I was skeptical of the spring rates as well but all i can say is it works great. I prefer a softer ride and even with the heavier rates it's absorbing more of the road imperfections since i daily drive it. Its mainly used on the pavement and when off road its usually rock crawling around here. Every once in a while i find a straight road to open it up on the dirt.
