Coming up to Speed With Grubbicon

And still not get to drive it down to the grocery store. We can and then on to the trails and back hopefully!
That's why I got out of my CJ7 project. I realized that i would have to trailer it everywhere. And with that comes a different truck and a trailer. Ain't nobody got room for that in the southbay where I live.

Haha I hear ya bud!!!! Even though a rock bouncer would be sweet to own, I would take Moby over one every day of the week!!!!

Well just ordered PRP harnesses I ended up getting the 5 point and 2" belts.

Lastly I got these mounts that my friend used to mount his lap belts. Im gonna have to come up with something for the 5th point. Not really sure what im gonna do yet about that.

My friend is supposed to be sending me his old set of axle shafts all the way from Chicago tomorrow. So im gonna be set for the End of the Summer run.

LOL, if you can fit it in the trailer you should! That ion sysem is the best in the business!

I've been trying to convince him to bring both the Jeep and the Yota. He can drive the Yota in the hard group and I'll drive the Jeep in the Easy group! :yup:

Shafts are on there way and are supposed to be here Thursday.

The passenger side is brand new and the driver side shaft has 5k miles on it. Id say thats better then mine with 72k on it.

The axle shafts showed up yesterday and I started to put it back together. I havent finished it yet but im close now.

The battery has been dying a good bit lately and looks like it finally died for the last time. Next stop to get a battery.

Well yesterday I sold my old Toyota pickup and I decided I need another beater. Since I have been wanting a 2dr Jeep I found this 1989 YJ. It definitely needs a few thing but I think it will be a fun Jeep. It has a d60 rear and d44 front out of a 1978 f250. Its on a bald set of 36 swampers (most likely about to go to 37 creepy crawlers). It has 4:10s in it and its welded front and rear. Its stretched 8inches. Its stretched 6 in the rear and 2 in front. The wiring is pretty bad but I will most likely putting a painless wiring harness in it at some point. This is the most of the Jeep.

Very nice! Is that the wheel base your looking for or are you going to move the rear axle back a few more inches?

That's a nice looking YJ! Now the real question is which one are you bringing next weekend?

I have actually been talking to Trevor about that. If its supposed to be bad weather while we are there ill most likely take the YJ.

I think for the size tires its about perfect. Im sure someday ill work it over and when i do that ill most like stretch its a few more front and a little more rear to get it more like 107"s. Its around 101-102 now.

I went down the road with it and decided to see how fragile it may be.

It actually surprised me on how it did. Looks like im gonna have to get the grinder or plasma cutter out and go to town on the flares on the front. The rear needs some cutting as well but its already leveled up to the rear fender well. I might cut the rear fender well out and make a new one higher.
