Mud Flaps in CA

Even if you do get a ticket it's just a fix it ticket. Get those removable EVO mud flaps and you'll be fine. I've never got a ticket and I had an F350 w/8 inch lift and 40's. You'll be fine.

Some places like Long Beach will ticket you. They go after dark tints and various other questionable modifications.

I live and work in Long Beach and have never been ticketed. And I drive by the police station every day.

I am going to be in California for three months this summer (Lake Tahoe) and notice they have a law requiring mud flaps and fenders covering the tires. Is this strictly enforced or is it something that the cops usually look the other way but will enforce if you are being a jerk?

I've been pulled over in south Lake Tahoe area a couple times. Never ticketed but still annoying. I run mine all the time now.

I got a ticket a little over a week ago.

I have a full width bumper and full fenders.

I feel like the law depends on the CHP officers mood.

If you are from out of state, you are more likely to receive just a warning.

Last we we went to St George, UT and a friend just got a warning. On the way back to SoCal, another friend got a ticket as we entered SoCal.
