Jeepers who workout, weights and gym thread

I'm into Olympic weightlifting right now. I've been doing it for almost 10 months now and I'm almost at a bodyweight snatch. Just a few more kilos to go!

Awesome! BW snatch is no joke. Make sure to really take care of your joints and to cycle your training. If you don't have a coach, you should probably get one.

I work at Auburn University as an Athletic Trainer and I'm well on my way to getting my CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist). I also work out in the varsity weight room under the supervision of the strength and conditioning staff. I'm very lucky to be surrounded by experienced people and have top of the line equipment available to me

I'm a competitive power lifter and currently train 6 days a week. It's definitely the one thing I truly look forward to every day and I'm enjoying doing it while my body is still able to. My max lifts are a 525lb squat, 385lb bench press and a 600lb deadlift. I'm sure that will all go downhill as soon as I acquire my new Jeep though. Lol

I go to the university of Windsor and there are a few of the powetlifter so used to compete with that workout there though the strength coaches aren't good here at all. I had to hire a guy using my slotted sponsor money from so cal. That an most of the coaches here don't practice what they preach.

Olympic lift are tough, when I used to cut last season I would warm up using Olympic lifts but would never do more than 225lbs which at the time was 20lbs more than I weighed. Now I'm 250.3 as of this morning but I don't have half the plane of movement I had before. The guys I workout with just say I'm bulked like a bear.

For me they went up ahah. At my best my dead lift was 605 didn't count on paper since I hitched last part :(, bench 405, and squat 720 (off season camp) but now I use the jeep for truck pulls and all and it is an amazing way to get strength up.

6 times a week? Wow! Atta boy, i used to train 6 times a week, but took me a few years to figure out that I needed more rest, went down to 5 and now I've been doing 4 times a week 2 on 1 off 2 on 2 off (taking weekends off) though I work lifting 100lb boxes all day and pressing them over my head so I call that my days off.

4 times a week and I have gone from 205 to 250.3 in about a year and some

Lifting 6 times a week takes a lot of focus. I mean one night out with friends and that ruins the next day...

So we're playing whose is bigger? I'll play!

Max at 170lbs BW: C&J-265lbs, Snatch-225lbs, Hang Clean-287lbs, Hang snatch-175lbs, Squat ATG-315x10, DL 415x5

Oh the memories!!

I would die a little inside if that happens. May the gainz be with you my brother 😬🙏lol

Work permitting, I hit the gym 4 times a week. I usually start with the elliptical for 30 minutes, and then hit the weight machines for 30 minutes after that. Usually I'll do lower and mid the first day and then upper and mid the next day. I just repeat that pattern. I started this about 6 months ago. Already my weight is down and I'm seeing improvements in my blood work. My wife's super happy.

I hit the gym daily. Cardio or lifting - and im into body building. I used to dirty bulk because ... who cuts, right? But ive now lost 20 lbs and beat personal bests like nothing before

I wouldn't consider myself a power lifter although I do try to introduce a lot of those techniques in my "bodybuilding" routine.

On a serious note , none of these PRs matter until you squat and jerk your hard top and man handle that thing back on after coming back from the gym at 12am lmao. Hoorraah!

Don't follow me, I'm lost too! O|||||||O

Anyone take any supplements?

I stopped taking most supplements: pre-workout, protein powders, glutamine, creatine... I'd much rather get most my nutrition from natural whole foods.

But I do take:

Animal Pak - multivitamin
Glucosamine/MSM/Chondroitin supplement (have to keep the joints and tendons healthy if I want to keep lifting)

So what's your stack?
