Well sometimes when you shoot your mouth off, these things happen. The poll is not even set up to reflect the sentiment of the challenge given. But it was given regardless, Someone took me up on it, and whatever will be will be. Can you imagine the shit I will catch if I don't keep my word?

This isn't a very good poll.. I didn't even know it was related to your poll until I went back and saw they set it up.

Of coarse nobody is going to say that the "family feeling" is what attracted them to wal. How would they know we were like a family (dysfunctional family) until they were already here?

I would set up a real poll, about why you like wayalife, not why you were attracted to it, with options like "sense of family" and I bet a lot more people would say it.

Although I think leaving the site if he is wrong on the poll #'s is kind of unecessary ;) Personally, I like the harmless, back and forth, cross country, Internet boxing match between a couple of fellow forum clowns. At least the two involved parties seem to have some amount of education and do use proper spelling and grammar.......which is not the case for most of the juveniles that have attempted a toe to toe sparring match with moderators/administrators and were eventually banned. :icon_crazy:

Actually Greg, it's not at all the same.. Army vets wording was poor, but came across wrong and now he is being roasted for it.. Read closely.. He said, "what attracted me to stay" not, "what attracted me to wayalife".. Big difference.. Most people don't know about the sense of family on wayalife until they are here! Is a mix up of wording Worth leaving??

based off of what you just showed me i would have to agree. the videos brought me in but the knowledge and community/family feel kept me. i have made a few really good friends on here and i intend to keep them even if i leave here for some reason. im sure if they were closer i would want to see them more often then just wheeling trips

And I feel the same.. I didn't care about this forum when I first came in.. But now that I know people and have made friends, I don't want to leave.. I would truly be bummed.

Well, I think the results are as good as in. So far most were attracted here 'cause of the vids (including me) but stayed for the family regardless of the wording of the poll. Am I missing something?:thinking:

Funny you glom onto that point and you're right it is not the same. In fact, he edited the quote at 2:47 yesterday right before he pasted part of his own quote in this thread at 2:50. :thinking: Because nobody quoted his original quote we may never know what he exactly wrote, but I will say I tried to give him exactly what he asked for with the poll above. Maybe he can come in and confirm whether he added the stay part that you feel is such a distinction? Maybe he added it when he say all the other people saying the videos brought them here but the family feel kept them here (a sentiment I share BTW)? :idontknow:

Even assuming it was just a "mix up of wording" it wouldn't be for me...I like this place. I would just admit I was acting like a jackass, running my gums in a thread that was completely childish to begin with and move on with it. But that just me. Of course, I doubt I would have thrown down a guanlet like an internet tough guy in the first place.

I didn't mean to imply that you were asking him to leave.. I understand, he issued this challenge by himself..

I also do not mean to attack your poll, my only reason for calling it mis worded was just the lack of the word "stay", which is an important part, also which I didn't realize he may have edited.
