Okay, you have "Local" guys who get paid by the hour and just don't fucking care.

Then you have OTR guys who get paid by the mile AND have a hard schedule to make, no flex time on delivery.

The local guys don't have to worry about hours in the seat and hours out of the seat. It's built into their schedule.

OTR guys have to watch the clock AND the miles, electronic nannies again. So, not passing is really not an option.

All of "US" are the cause of the OTR guys riding the razor edge. We want our schitt yesterday and we don't care what the drivers have to go through.

As much as all of us bitch about the taxes we have to pay and the condition of the roads, the OTR guys pay much, much, much more just specifically for those roads.

Although it wasn't the case in the pic that I posted but is NOT passing really not an option when there's clearly a vehicle in the left lane coming up fast and ready to pass? This shit happens to me ALL THE FUCKIN TIME and it really pisses me off. Like, you really couldn't wait 10 seconds and come in behind me instead of making me slam on my brakes and then sit behind your ass for the next 10 miles?
 
And, so that it isn't missed, Nevada has highways with 80 MPH speed limit and unlike California and states like it, trucks are NOT restricted to operate at slower speeds.

The Interstate System was created to expedite military movements and interstate commerce.
Not for civilian travel.

The only thing I don't like are self-righteous douchebags. And, I'd be the first to say that not all drivers are. There are plenty who are nice enough to let me know when it's clear to pass on a 2-lane highway or flash me to let me know when smoky nearby. My annoyance is strictly reserved for the ones who feel it's their right to do what they do and couldn't give a shit if it puts anyone else out.

LOL - since you seemed to have missed it, I started this thread to bitch about the fuckin Prius that was being a self-righteous douchebag. Also, my post reviving this thread was to bitch about the fuckin Sliverado that was being a self-righteous douchebag as well. As in, MOST of what bugs the shit out of me on the highway are your every day passenger vehicles and unless you're one of the douchebag truck drivers out there, nothing Ddays or what I've said should require a defensive explanation.

And then you continued to complain that semi's should not pass because they are holding up traffic.

Never mind the fact every swinging dick on the interstate will speed up to prevent a semi getting over in front of them.

I laid it out to you, the interstates were built for their use, not our use. But, like most everyone else, you feel they should always stay out of the way.

Wasn't too long ago, people driving on the interstate were courteous. That's gone.

Want to bitch at the Chevy driver, pull up to him and bitch. But don't bitch about someone trying to do their job that has every restriction in the world against them doing their job.

The semis pull over to pass aggressively because they're tired of the cagers putting them at risk.

I figured you might be one of them but the fact that you're taking the few things I've said as examples to the contrary so personally, it's hard not to think otherwise.

I love Jeeps and a lot of my friends are Jeepers but I would never even begin to suggest that ALL Jeepers are good people or that there aren't total douchebag Jeepers out there nor would I ever attempt to defend or explain away why they do the dumb shit things that they do. Just sayin.

Not mine. I was at 92 and still accelerating but I felt that was plenty fast in my aerodynamic box...haha
