The Return of BIGGER Black

Few updates over here, haven’t installed everything yet, but rear driveline was done so @Disciple Off Road hooked it up, along with A few other things, I broke my EVO raised trackbar bracket on the Rubicon, so doing temporary fix till I determine my future steering upgrades. Also picked up the Fabtech cargo shelf on Eddie’s recommendation, which is going to come in handy soon. Decided to beef up my axle shafts too, leaving my stock ones to be spares. Oh and went with the Rusty’s engine pan skid as well, to save my shinny new engine oil pan. IMG_2884.jpegIMG_2883.jpegIMG_2882.jpegIMG_2880.jpegIMG_2885.jpegIMG_2800.png

Nice! Probably a good idea for that oil pan skid, couldn’t believe how much that thing hangs down so low when I saw it.

Talked to @Disciple Off Road for a while last night, but figured I’d share here too.. I’ve Been having some steering issues, death wobble, ect. I definitely need a new drag link as that worn, but something else doesn’t seem right, I managed to rip this EVO MFG steering relocation apart, which I’m not going to blame quality as I don’t believe it’s meant to be ran like this, but finally got the rock jock 4x4 raised trackbar bracket installed yesterday, replaced the steering shock, again, as it had some residue around it. But may main issue remains, the final full turn each way of my steering wheel is as if I don’t have power steering, so I’m concerned my electric steering is taking a shit, not sure this is attributing to death wobble but I’m still getting some light feedback in my steering wheel after the new bracket, which could simply be the draglink. But either way my biggest concern is the electric steering taking a dive, it has given me the hot signal twice this summer, but always went back to normal.. so I’m heavily considering PSC upgrade now along with RockJock 4x4 high steer, anyone else have any other big thoughts around this or seen/heard of electric steering issues?

I had very similar scenario with my electric steering pump. It did some crazy things on the highway, one of which nearly caused me an accident. Having the PSC system that @Disciple Off Road installed for me made a massive difference. I can two finger drive anywhere. It’s not overly sensitive like I was warned by a number of people, where it would have very little resistance. In my case, there is a perfect amount of resistance, and it’s easy to turn on the rocks, maneuvering around a parking lot, tracks perfectly straight down the highway without hands on the wheel, and I have zero shimmy issues now. I would highly recommend the system he installed into mine for you, you will love it.

If you have the EVO track bar up front, I would also give that a good look. I’m not a fan of the joints they use, particularly the frame side, and have seen several fail.

I did send over the pics to EVO, that bracket shouldn’t have done that. Hopefully they do a little redesign on it.

Always great chatting with you Ben. Hope we can get a game plan for you and fixed up.

Thanks for that feedback Mike! That’s good stuff

That one already crapped out on me lol, synergy trackbar now. Thanks for sending that over, it’s beefy, and even if ran like I did it probably still shouldn’t break, but not a huge deal being I had a replacement sitting in my garage. Thanks again dude!
