Gear Ratio

Hey!

My vehicle: 2014 JK Wrangler Overland Unlimited (Australia’s version of the Sahara in a way).

So I have been reading through forums for days trying to figure out how to find my gear ratio. As I don’t have jack stand currently I couldn’t do the easy method but whatever. So I got my factory sheet and it says I have 3.73 ratio for the rear. Just wanting confirmation that this would also be the case for the front even though it is not stated.IMG_7126.png

Secondly I plan to run 35x12.5R17 tyres in a 2.5” game-changer lift and want to know what gear ratio yall would suggest. And with that should I go a 1310 or 1350 front driveshaft as I need a new one for the lift. As I hear that 1310 can be smart as you’d rather that fail then ruin your transfer case.

Thanks in advance!

Hopefully this works for you - you can get your window sticker details here

Yes I had a look at this last night hurt. Unfortunately it seems to provide no help. Like I believe I would have 3.73 at the front aswell as it’d be weird for a factory to release a mismatched ratio.

Gear ratio would be the same from the factory front and rear.

1310 shaft is weaker than stock which is 1330 so go 1350.

4.88’s with 35’s in my opinion. Manual transmission you could get away with 4.56 being it’s a six speed but 4.88 are better I think for performance.

Any brands yall would recommend for 1350 shafts. I hear Adam’s is good but afraid of the costs it would be to ship that.

Tom Woods seems to be very affordable in Australia coming at $1000 note that Teraflex one is $2000

In Australia many local shops are not keen on jeep related products haha they not loved here. But looking at some regardless. If I was to get one shipped over what brands would yall say are the best. Adams? JE Reel? Yukon?
