They act like red changes the chemical composition of the steel, allowing the two surfaces to fuse together like they were welded.LOL - been a while since I've posted on this thread but after a rash of posts dreading the red and based on what people have "heard", I thought I'd give this a bump.

Like some of you I've been using red loctite for 30yrs on everything from my race cars to my 4x4's. Never a problem backing a bolt out. They act like Red Loctite is equal to J.B weld! Red is what I use period.
“Assuming you’re not joking…”
I mean, why on earth would you use anything else other the RED on wheel spacers!? Pretty common sense really. If he has ever turned a wrench in his life, he would also know that any impact will zip them off. Gott love the internet.
Speaking of wheel spacers. The cost of them for a sprinter is $600 for 4 of them! Its crazy expensive. I'm going with new wheels instead. I'll be sure to use red loctite on my lugs too...hahaI mean, why on earth would you use anything else other the RED on wheel spacers!? Pretty common sense really.
