Nice product.

How about someone figuring out something for the JT that doesn't look out of place or just plain stupid.

Almost to the point of drilling a hole in the front bumper and mounting one there.
So, if you have a bed rack, mounting the antenna to it is what I've done and I think it looked great. That said, I no longer have my bed rack on and so I made a mount that bolts up to the side of the bed, just behind the passenger side of the cab. I used existing holes to make it work. I'll try to post up pics and if you like what you see, I may try putting them into production.

As much as I like the looks of some of the racks, I don't have a need, so I've not spent that money :ROFLMAO:

If you're talking about the holes in the bulkhead of the bed, I think my bed cover is utilizing those. One was already threaded (2020) and the other got a nut encapsulated in rubber, then the bolt.

Hard mounting a full size CB Radio, HAM, GMRS or race radio along with a tall exterior antenna, is the best way to get good reception and have the greatest range. Fortunately, installing a radio inside a Jeep JL Wrangler is a piece of cake or at least, if you use one of my CB BARs and it can be just as easy to install an antenna on the tailgate, especially if you use one of my stainless steel mounts. In this video, you'll get to see how it's done as well as how to get the cable inside your Jeep and routed cleanly to your radio.

NOTE : This will work on a JK Wrangler as well but you will need to remove the tailgate hinge cover.

I am not sure how Eddie can accomplish in a mere 15 minutes what would surely take me three and a half hours to do!

Something of note, there is not seem to be any doggy eye-candy in this video.

Caught the Bug
Soooo.... my 2013 doesn't have a back up camera, and my son will be driving soon. And a 38" tire on a tire carrier is a lot to work with.
I decide I am going to install a back up camera, no biggie, I can do this. YouTube videos make it SUPER easy, right?
The video is ONLY 12 minutes long, I can do this!!
First step install the back up camera mount.... OH this is made for a STOCK tire bolt pattern, not my 5x5.5"
No biggie, a buddy can machine it for me this week.
So now I decide to run the wire through the rear JK vent, no biggie once again.....
The wire will not go through the rear JK vent.
I now get to REMOVE the tire carrier.
This 5 minute job is now a full on PITA.
I get the tire carrier off.
I go to fish the back up camera wire THROUGH the rear JK vent and go to grab it AND THE almost 10 year old vent cover literally crumbles in my hand.
I RIP it out and say I am done with that.
Snake the wire through and FINALLY got it where I want it.
Reinstall the tire carrier.
Enjoy a COLD locally crafted IPA.
Thanks for listening to my TED talk.

Just installed the CB bar and routed the antenna wire to the back. This thing is nice!!
Going to put a race radio and a radar detector on it.
Waiting for parts then I’ll finish it.
The CB bar is an easy install too.
Awesome! Glad the install was easy for you and that you're happy with it! Looking forward to seeing how you get your radio and radar detector on. 👍

Looks good Doug! I need to install mine too but I'm waiting for a crucial component to arrive before I can start... ;)
