Detailing your jeep

Not sure if anyone else said this before I didn't read all 12 pages but I work at company that specializes in conveyer belts and one way we clean them to splice them together is rubbing alcohol and it gets everything off of it. So when I want my tires to look new again I use rubbing alcohol on them and it cleans all the stubborn brown road grime off of them it just wipes away. Have to use alot of clean raggs but it works and alcohol is cheaper and works better and most if the tire cleaners out there

When the Jeep was brand new, the leather steering wheel had almost a matte/flat appearance to it. But over time with skin oils, wear, etc, it starts to look glossy. I've found if I use Chemical Guys Nonsense all-purpose cleaner and just wipe off the steering wheel with a microfiber towel and then wipe it dry with another microfiber towel, it removes the gloss and almost brings back the OEM appearance to 100%.

I've got 26k on it now and this is the second time I've done it.

Not sure if the photos will show the result that I see in person, but it works amazing IMO. I should have taken a before shot but didn't.

Thanks to whoever originally recommended both Chemical Guys and especially their waterless wash! It's the only thing I have found that can get my black JK looking clean and keep it looking that way for a couple days when I park it outside! Whenever I wash it there are spots that have kind of a dirty haze... Now I have not washed it in my driveway using the bucket method, but I have used every tool and chemical at a car wash including the brushes, and I have gone through nice automated car washes with neither stopping these hazy spots from appearing after I wash it. So, my new method is to wash it fairly well at the car wash and then finish off with waterless wash and then I keep after it with the waterless wash for as many days as I can before letting the Jeep slide back to its usual dirty state! :ROFLMAO:

I’m looking at trying out some Chemical Guys car wash. Any suggestions on which jug to get? Does the foam cannon make things better? I’m just looking at where to start with their products.

I still use their waterless wash. Just bought another gallon. After a Run or when its real dirty I Hose down the Jeep first, then spray a section, wash & dry.. On a weekly basis, I just hit the Jeep with a california duster, Spray a section and buff dry.

I use a self serve pressure wash station on the Pacific Coast Highway 101 in Solana Beach just minutes from me in Del Mar. It has absolutely everything from high and low pressure rinses, foam, tri-color polish, engine cleaner, tire shine, and much more. It's well priced, roughly a dollar a minute, and has been there for decades.

Been on a car detailing kick lately, both my Jeep and my client’s vehicles. Went on a chemical guys shopping spree as well lol and will be following their flow chart on restoring paint.
