Been searching for a hard top for a bit finally snagged one local which came off a 2010 rubicon. It was a little dirty but overall in good shape spent some time scrubbing cleaned up good
Congrats,,,, I am considering selling mine right now. What are the average prices on the top and freedom panels you came across?

I picked this one up for $1700 I’ve seen them $2300 to $2400 which I probably would’ve paid but the shipping is insane. New there $3200 plus shipping.

Noticed my swaybar link bolts were gouging into the frame and also hit my reservoir hose while doing a pre trip walk through. I cut about 5/8” off the end of the bolt so it is flush with the nut, hopefully that cures it

Caught the Bug
Installed the rear MCE Fenders, fronts should be done tomorrow. I did not like that they include self-tapping screws for the install, I think it really makes it appear shoddy. So I replaced all the self tapping screws with 1/4”-20x5/8” stainless hardware screwed into rivnuts that I installed into the tub. Much better & looks a bit more professional in my opinion. 86EC2918-441D-40FA-B01B-AF0BC4C7CB97.jpeg

So my JK has gotten quite a few upgrades over the last 6 weeks or so. I took out the old AEV spacer lift, which served it well, and added an AEV Dualsport XT 2.5" suspension. I then added new front/rear bumpers, adjustable front track bar, a new XRC 9500 winch to replace the trusty but old Engo, Rancho rear diff slider, new fog lights, and today a new Magnaflow axle back exhaust. The exhaust really improved the sound and made it much more interesting and fun to go through the gears. Next up will be a new license plate bracket (cracked) auxillary lights on the A-Pillar, front steering component skid plate, and I'll have an upholstery shop replace some worn panels on the cloth seats. Here are some pics!

So it is getting close to finished. She's old, but has LOTS of great years and trails ahead of her!

I dove into the engine swap today. Made some good progress. Got the old yanked and pushed it outside to give it a good deep clean in the normally hard to reach places.
