Slacking on the few updates I have.
got the trailer back from paint. Turned out great. I should have done a better job on the filler where I ground the spot welds though. You can see those spots in the sun but otherwise looks pretty good. They also raptorlined the interior.

And mounted up the tent.

Bought some HD drawer slides, footman loops and straps and built a cooler slide.

Mounted it in the trailer and it couldn’t have fit much better. I was worried I was going to have to outboard the slides for vertical clearance when I ordered. Glad I didn’t have to as I didn’t want to waste space inside the cargo box. There’s about 3/4 inch clearance above the cooler.

I still have plenty more to do but planning on taking it out this weekend.
Looks great!!

Looks great... The cooler slide turned out nice too. What drawer slides did you go with?

Such a great build! Serious skills
Thanks buddy, I appreciate it.
It looks awesome man...when we going camping/fishing?
We should find a spot somewhere in the middle to meet for a trip this summer and you can tow your Xventure over as well. But we still need a steelhead re-do up on the Peninsula too.

Thanks. I got the slidess from Ovis. They're 36", full extension, lock-in lock-out and rated at 550lbs. They were the most cost friendly, quality slides I could find.

A spot in the middle, like the Green River in Wy & UT...or Truckee & Walker Rivers in NV...Henry’s Fork ID...

Thanks I just looked them up, Ovis seems to be $100-200 cheaper than many other similar drawer slides, gonna have to get me a set

The Truckee or Walker should be very doable. I’ll get ahold of ya here soon and hopefully we can put something together.

Yeah and they seem pretty nice at least right now. We’ll see how they hold up. I could’ve saved a few bucks by making my own brackets but for time sake I just purchased them from Ovis with the slides.

I had to build some extensions for the rear stabilizing jacks. I used 1-1/2” pipe for the jack side and 2” for the trailer side and welded them together. The ID of the 2” pipe was a little too narrow so I chucked them up in the lathe and bored them out to fit. I’m not really happy with how much slop there is between the mating pieces so down the road I may just machine a single piece with better tolerances. We’ll see.

I also put on a couple quick fists to mount a shovel. Also plan to do something for mounting fishing rods as well.

Took the trailer out for its maiden voyage this weekend. No off-road just went to Castle Crags state park with the fam. The trailer was great. Towed nicely for the 4 hour drive, was stable to sleep in and the annex was a great spot for the dogs at night too. Need to figure out a catch/latch for the tailgate to keep it from blowing around in the wind when the cooler is pulled out. But was nice packing everything in there so the dogs had the whole back of the jeep to themselves.

Looks great. I really enjoy watching these trailers turn into what they become from what they started as. Inspiring.

VERY nicely done! I wish I had half of your welding talents! My "welding talents" have led me to be a very good grinder... LOL
I am considering a trailer build as well and enjoyed getting inspiration from your great work!
I hope you get a ton of opportunities to enjoy the fruits of your labors this summer.
