No, we wouldn’t be obligated. I really don’t think it would come to that, but this is a conversation that I had with an employee that was on lay-off last week:

“Hey man, need you to report to work on Monday.

Really, are you sure there is enough work?

Yup, plenty of work.

Man... what about so-n-so? He could have my week

I hope you’re kidding!

Fine, see you Monday.”

This is from a guy with 30+ years - it’s bullshit and only going to get worse.

Work ethic is a lost cause anymore. I’ve been sucking up the OT like crazy and the only worry I have, is getting sick and ruining my 8 year streak of not calling off. I gotta make it a decade damn it.

I haven’t been working my guys Friday’s but I asked 2 guys to help me out, one kid said he was really looking forward to being off Friday and having some family time.
