What was done to your rig this week?

Did a little flex testing to see what rubbing issues I may have. Looks like I need to do some shaving of the front inner fender or potentially add 1" of bump. On a positive note I was really surprised how easy they walked right up that 18" ledge. It's going to feel so different in the rocks. Almost like cheating..haha.20200304_142852.jpg20200304_142832.jpg20200304_142757.jpg

Very nice!! Like you said just wait till you get in the rocks.

So, my driver's door has been getting stiffer and stiffer over the last month.

I ordered some hinge liners, and they came today. I figured it would not take too long. WRONG;

Out of eight, ONE came out with the tool like it should. I ended up drilling them out with a half inch bit. Had to pull the lower hinges off and put them in the vice. There was not enough space between the hinges to fit the drill, and the sliders were in the way from the bottom.

Once I finished, all the doors open and close like new again.

Since I had so much crap unpacked to do this "simple" job, I mounted the clamps for my Maglite as well. That was drama free.

I built a box to hold my ARB twin, 1000w inverter, a switch pod and my ARB fridge plug.

Getting ready for EJS. :rock:

Finally getting around to a new head unit and replacing the 12 year old factory speakers.

On the suggestion of the installer, I went with a Pioneer NEX4500, JL amp and speakers, and custom boxes for 12” subs.

They’re installing the Trektop NX Glide so the tower speakers going in aren’t in the way. (We will likely alter the Genright basket so it doesn’t get in the way of the slanted rear Trektop window.)

Also bought the Bestop Core Doors with black twill uppers.

Just got these progress pics. Should be done next week. Can’t wait to see it!

That is really clean work. Nice job. I've run that same model inverter in my WJ and now my JT with no issues and It will also power a VERY SMALL 5 cup coffee pot.

Good to know. I was surprised it would run my grinder. I might eventually go to a dual battery setup but for now if I’m using it I’ll leave the rig running.

Nice. Those slanted tops look cool but you do lose a lot of space in back.
