The Birth of Cookie Monster (aka Cymbol Monkey)

Before ripping out the steering box I decided to take out the front axle.

I’m sooner than later. Expecting them this week I think. Sooo much to get done yet.

I think I have everything gathered up except the axles and new tie rod from Bubba. I'm a ways off.

You seriously need to step up the picture posting btw. :D

I’m still in the air on suspension. Right now the plan is to rebuild with my 3.5 springs and a cheap set of shocks and just run it for a few shake down runs. From there I will decide if I’m going long arm, coilovers, etc. I had a set of COs lined up but it fell through in the end.

As for pics, last I saw from you was a shell in your kitchen! Surely you have them all mounted and looking pretty. Lol

Things are seriously moving along! Can’t wait to follow it

Thanks. Moving as quick as I can. Fighting this stupid PSC set up. Can’t get my hoses from the reservoir to cooperate with my damn air box. Spent hours yesterday messing with it and still not right.

LOL, nope, I only did one so far. I'll probably finish those up this week. Otherwise, all I can do now is go out in the garage and look at all of my parts until I get the axles.

I know that it's not my money, but since you're going this far with the axles and 40's, I would HIGHLY suggest at least the high clearance long arm kit. It will make a huge difference with your on-road handling. :twocents:

Here’s my heartburn with it. I know a certain someone working on a double triangulated “kit” if
You will. I would hate to go through the expense and effort of long arms if that really pans out. If it doesn’t I can always do it in a month or so. I can sell a full set of regular arms much easier than a long arm kit.

Sounds good. Looking to hear about this one.

Buttoned up a few more things. Got my reservoir lines to work finally and cooler in place.

Also was able to get the other axle out so I could start to make some room.

Once the axles we’re out finally started on cleaning up the wells after cutting everything up.

Has to put a few welds along the crimped sheet metal since I cut the slot weld out.

A lot of progress! The wheel wells look great. Did mounting the cooler on the bottom of the cross member not work?
