Finally had some time on the Little Manistee river. Check out the "cement" on the tires- seemed to stay glued on for awhile.

Missed it again- was busy all day Saturday again this year- any word on the final count- possibly over 1500 jeeps?

I think I heard 1630 but that is unofficial hearsay as far as I know. Got to check out the Ace Engineering tube doors while I was there and a bunch of crazy jeeps as well as take a couple runs through the course. Make sure to mark the calendar for next year.

Almost forgot Bell MTN

After the woods and Tray, Jeep took me to the top of Bell. Had to stop at the bottom and winch a fella out who made a bad decision 20150426_181257.jpg 20150426_181413.jpg

My buddy is building a trail around his property, so we had a chance to run a few lines this weekend.

This the starting point and entry through the gatekeeper.

This is just after coming up and over the gatekeeper.

This is the next obstacle which must be taken in order to make the sharp right hand turn...

There is another section following called the rock garden which is a really cool downhill off camber section followed by a hill climb over a rock pile.

The next obstacle is backdoor - pic heading up..

IMG_7129.jpg

This is near the top of back door where I fell off my line and to the right of both those rocks...

IMG_7125.jpg

This is the same general area where the rock near my driver side in the previous pic had rolled around like a bowling ball and ended up underneath rock rails after some further attempts to make it up the hill...

I think it was right about this time when I lost my brakes (first time experiencing brake loss which was kind of scary). Not knowing exactly where the brake failure was (no immediate leak could be seen), we decided to winch out and not risk rolling backwards down the hill. Time to winch! :yup:

Back on level ground we soon discovered the brake line at the driver side had come loose. We tightened up the line (found another loose line in the passenger rear too), quick bleed at all corners and all good. super fun!

Awesome setup man. My first time seeing the hardtop painted gecko and it looks great.

We went to southington off-road park last weekend. Did a little bit of everything. Rocks mud and back wood trails. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1430874353.756536.jpg

Forgot to post, but last week we road tripped back to my hometown of Port Huron, MI. Birthplace of Thomas Edison. Here you can see a statue of him, with Canada across the river, and Lake Huron upstream to the north.
