Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

“Deep Cut” a place I wouldn’t normally dare go this time of year unless frozen solid or a dry winter

Got a text from Dad saying he’s at Deep Cut and his transmission went out. I figured he had headed out there to help our buddy Bob the sheep herder. I left work a little early, gassed up, threw my straps in the Jeep and hauled ass out there hoping to be able to get them out before dark.

Bob in the old dodge was a lost cause, the road was too slick to winch him up and the ruts were too slimy to get the Jeep out where I could use some sagebrush for traction. I did get dads truck drug out to the highway where he got a tow truck to get him home. Bob had to call for a tractor to get the truck and sheep camp out.

check out the baby lambs in Bobs cab! Those little fuckers are cute

Great shots! Not a place I would want to be, even in a Jeep.

Took a quick trip up to Monument Valley. Too late for the “scenic route” but a few pics along the way. It’s too bad the Navajos run it. Such beautiful country with so much trash/bottles thrown around. Amazing how many drunks are walking down the highways.
Most of the trash is likely due to tourists such as yourself rather than the Navajos. Did you help by picking up some of it? Our family always filled a few bags while I was growing up. It is remarkable how quickly trash reappears!

Most of it, is the millions of empty bottles that spread from one side of the Navajo nation to the other, from the drunks that occupy the wonderful socialist utopia of the nation. I promise, only the inhabitants of this free land are the ones that ruined it, rather than us “tourists”. Learn a bit about your subject before spouting off like a fucking idiot. 👍

Wife has been doing much better with her cancer. We took a quick day trip to Moab to see the vendor show and such. Ran a couple little trails. Sure was nice to get back out. Beautiful day. I have to say, the Vendor show was quite lame vs past years. The water at the end of Baby Lionsback was pretty damn deep.
