Well, it's not exactly this week, but the last couple of weeks I've been transforming my 2011 JKU Sport from stock to it's current form. I'm loving it! :)

Modifications:

MetalCloak Overline Front and Rear Rub Rails, Exo-Skin, Fender Flares and Front inner fender wells
VDP Stubby Bumper Caps (temporary until I get a new bumper)
35" Fierce Attitude M/T's
Plasti Dip Grille, Hood, Windshield Frame, MetalCloak Fender Flares, Rub Rails and Exo-Skin
Rubicon Rock Rails (2.5" trimmed from the rear to accommodate tires)
Rear Pinch seam corner also trimmed to accomodate tires (not shown in pic)
AEV ProCAL module used to correct speedo for tire size
Also installed a CB radio and 24" antenna is mounted to the spare tire holder on the tailgate

Stock is pictured in the upper right of the pic.

Added an Offroad Heros Multi-Top

While I don't recommend doing this at 34 degrees F, surprisingly enough we got it on! Seems strange that now I can't wait for it to warm up so I can take it off! The wrinkles in the back came out after I warmed up the Jeep and attached the loops on the inside. Very pleased! 2013-02-17 16.09.22.jpg 2013-02-17 16.09.10.jpg 2013-02-17 16.08.53.jpg

I drove about 500 miles with a loose upper rear control arm flex joint home. Had no way to fix it there.
Amazingly the bushings, snap ring and washer stayed put. Was loose feeling on the drive.

Also got my WAYALIFE shot glasses! Pics to come.

Finally installed Rock Hard gas tank skid; have had it since last July. Lazy, just plain lazy. Nice fitting skids.

Moved rock/forward-facing cameras monitor to center gauge cluster. It sits lower there. No visual obstruction at all.

The plastic dip started to peel, so instead of re painting it, I took if off and painted it with regular paint

That happened to me the first time I used it on my Grill, I peeled it and sprayed it again but this time I cleaned it better and applied more coats. That's the key to great looking and lasting Plasti Dip, surface needs to be really clean (I used a spray cleaner and then wiped down with rubbing alcohol just to be safe) and use many light coats, I like to use 4-6 (minimum, the leading edges of my hood have about 10). Let it cure and it should be solidly adhered to the surface, until you want to remove it.

Of course you could still scrape it, but there's various methods to repair without starting over from scratch. Dipyourcar.com even makes Dip Fix Kit that works great to smooth out any chips or tears before you respray a couple of coats to even out the texture.

Also, pro-tip (from experience): If you didn't mask quite as well as you should have and have mist-like Plasti Dip overspray (i.e. not enough to peel) on surfaces you don't want it on, a rag with Mineral Spirits will make for very easy cleanup, even if the over spray has fully cured.

lol yeah I'm the same way, seems I always have something laying around waiting to be installed. What rock lights are you using? 'Spotz'?

Yeah. Skid was a pre-Rubicon trip part. Trip fell through for me. Guess I was bitter. ;)

The dash pic is no rock lights; light vision camera and lights from gas station.

Added a button for my garage door opener and hid it in the dash. Now no worries going topless and leaving in the driveway. Boom.
