Due to a change in the weather where it was supposed to rain on the days we were supposed to do the Rubicon, I changed my camp site dates and we decided to head for Tahoe this morning! Took us about 10 hrs but we made it this evening. Pulled into the Pepper Tree Inn and got a few groceries. We will be heading out pretty early in the morning...hope to meet a few people in the trail. Got lots of food and warm close for camping tomorrow night. I'm a little nervous, but I built the jeep for this over the past 4-5 months and I think we're ready!

Gentleman...I can honestly tell you that I never anticipated such a stressful, difficult, amazing, and breathtaking wheeling adventure than what we put ourselves through in the past two days! My wife and I made it back to the Pepper Tree Inn and said a little prayer and literally gasped as we were so thankful for that experience, no major damage, and the ability to make it back in one piece. Headed to Scotia, CA for the red woods tomorrow morning. But here are some pictures from our trip!

Little update...
If you don't have it on your list...put it on!!! Avenue of the Giants in Scotia, CA will blow your mind! These things are amazing! My phone was dead at the time, but I'll have the misses send me hers and post them up...that 25 mile stretch of road was amazing! Much do with the tops off. No other way! We broke camp this morning and took HWY 1 all the way front Leggett, CA to San Fran. That is another must do, but it is a pain in the @$$ by the end! Beautiful though! Here are some pics. We had lunch in Mendosino today, it was amazing food and a better view! We're checking out Alcatraz tomorrow and getting some food at the wharf. Need to make a trip to the hardware store too. Lost a nut from my sway bar links carving the twisters on HWY1! Lol

Is was a good week in Cali...San Fran was not my favorite, but we saw what Alcatraz and the Wharf had to offer. Yosemite was cool, lots of great sites, and now we just crawled into Moab tonight for 2 full days and 3 nights, then off to Ouray for 2 nights. Loving everything, though it has been uncharacteristic weather from what everyone is telling us. Hope you guys enjoy the pics.
