The Return of BIGGER Black

Decided to put an order in for the new Jeep JLU Rubicon, went back and forth a lot but ultimately the overall cost was the determining factor in my decision. It was about a 25k difference between the Rubicon I ordered and the 392 Rubicon when it came down to final numbers that I was quoted, before taxes/interest which would only make the gap bigger. So, I guess I’ll just swap the motor later if I feel the need for speed lol. Anyway I’m pretty excited for what I have coming, dealer said about 3 months so we’ll see what actually happens.

Have a list of stuff i pulled off my gladiator that I’ll be putting on it , plus probably a few small things to start but will likely keep the suspension/tires stock for a bit as my goal is to pay it off on the first year or so, then do the majority of my build all at once, but we’ll see how things go. Awesome! Last Monday, I picked my 2022 Rubicon JLU built almost exactly like yours except I got the six speed manual and cloth seats. I hope you enjoy yours.
 
Any body shop pros out there? Was just about to swap the decals on my hood and found this scratch. No clue where it came from, but either way, is this typically a situation where they spot paint or would have to redo the decal/hood paint.

is it deeper than your average brush/branch pinstripe on the trail?
 
Another option is to get touch up paint... fill it... then buff that out with polish & wax. Because you know once you pay a body shop to fix it, you'll get another scratch soon after... Murphy's Law.
Yea true 😂, I might see how much buffs out then go that route, just tough when I don’t even have 1k miles on it and it’s the hood. But also don’t want to pay a body shop either lol
 
There are good dentless paint guys out there who can do a pretty good job at addressing scratches like this too. Might be worth looking into over a body shop. And actually, some body shops employ the same techniques. With good touch up paint, the right equipment and skill, you can totally do it yourself.
