It's a great privacy hedge. But yes it grows like crazy. I have a consistent mow line and if I hit it regularly during the growing season, it stays put rather than expands. I love it.
I have a friend that grew some in a raised bed he built with a concrete form. All the benefits of bamboo with full control.

I wasn't overly fond of that one either. Something in the flavor just too strong. I honestly think if they used the same recipe but kept it near 7% , it may have worked out better.
