Slow jeep build in NJ.

Well, I guess it's time to start a build thread. It will be a very slow one since I don't have much to spare on Jeep parts, but opinions and advice are very welcome (I really have no idea what I'm doing).
I paid off my Jeep last week and decided it needed some stuff. So I ordered BARTACT seat covers and some Monstaliner.
My plan is to do the inside and my fenders (after I trim them).

Has anyone bedlined painted fenders? Is there anything beyond normal prepwork before applying?

This is what my jeep looked like when i brought it home (and still does for the most part)

So here is why I decided to go for seat covers first. I know it is t really a mod, but I was wearing g out my seat.

I am on the edge of ordering rock sliders. Just need to make that final decision and make the leap. Leaning toward LOD over EVO since I can't weld.

Today I started with bedlining the door hinges.
Taped up the Jeep after sanding the lower hinges.

Then sprayed them with a rattle-can bed liner and replaced the hinge bushings.

Took doors and top off today. So here's a pic with sliders and Bartact seat covers in.

Well, there may not be too much more to this thread.
My wife and I have been discussing trading in my little Jeep for a 4 door. We decided we ”need” more room. Her van is slowly dying (over 200k miles) and we have been packing 4 people and our stuff in the Jeep to take trips longer than 100 miles. It's a little tight.
So I am currently looking at a 2013 Gecko Green Rubicon and a 2015 Copper Brown Rubicon. There is about 30k miles difference and $1000 difference in price. Pretty comparable in options (13 has hard top, 15 has heated seats).
I really like the Gecko, but the Brown isn't a bad color and is has a lot less miles.

Opinions?

We looked at a couple of Gecko ones. As much as we both loved the colors, we really wondered if it would be too obnoxious while looking at it in the driveway every day. Again, good color, just not something either of us thought we would enjoy long term. If I were in your shoes, I would go with the 2015 Brown.

I know. I really like the Gecko, but the lower miles is really pulling me that way. Of course, it could end up being neither.
Will have to find a hardtop on Craigslist if I get the brown one.

I'd go for the brown if that's got the lower mileage. I've seen a few hard tops come up on Craigslist in NJ once in a while...soft tops are much easier to find though. Maybe talk to the dealer for swapping a hard top onto it from something else used on the lot?

We are on a trip to Delaware this weekend, baseball tournament for my younger son. Couldn't pack 4 people and all the stuff she wanted to take on the trip.
As we sat on the ferry across the Delaware River, she greenlighted the 2015 Rubicon (brown). More space with the 4 door.
If all goes well and they give me a decent price on mine and all goes well with financing, I may be in a new Jeep next week.

We pulled the trigger and traded my blue 2007 2-door Sahara for the brown 2015 4-door Rubicon today.
Sad to see my little JK go, bit excited for my JKU. jeep.jpg
