Which, I'm assuming, would lead to ejection failures? The most common problem with PSA is they use out of spec extractor springs.

Which is why the first thing you do is snag a BCG from BCMThe most common problem with PSA is they use out of spec extractor springs.
Yes. The extractor starts the empty out of the chamber, but loses its grip on the rim. The case doesn’t eject. The bolt strips the next round from the magazine and you now have an empty case and a loaded cartridge jammed in the action.Which, I'm assuming, would lead to ejection failures?
Interesting. Thank you for the info. Lots of good information gained on all this.Yes. The extractor starts the empty out of the chamber, but loses its grip on the rim. The case doesn’t eject. While a BCM bolt carrier group will usually fix the problem, the less expensive solution is to change the extractor spring to a Colt or Sprinco extractor spring. I use Colt extractor springs exclusively in all my ARs.
Same here.. got a Springfield Saint Victor.. decent price, solid rifle.. then I started making it my own. Change this, add this.. gotta have this…These damn AR's are as bad as Jeeps. Started off was gonna build one and boy that got out of hand real quick. Bought a Ruger AR-556 to play with and get familiar with the platform first. These things are pretty fun.
Oh boy. Not sure if trolling or serious.Any elk hunters on here? Thoughts on the best caliber?
Regardless of caliber, shot placement is key. And then the work begins.Any elk hunters on here? Thoughts on the best caliber?
Ha! A little of both. Have one camp of trusted people telling me to go with 300 PRC and another saying that for me, and what I will do, a 308 is fine.Oh boy. Not sure if trolling or serious.
But this can get spicy. Like the Chevy vs ford vs dodge people
I consider that to be obvious. Placement gets to be a bigger concern though when you start talking about distance. Inside 400-500 yards, a monkey could make a shot with today’s glass.Regardless of caliber, shot placement is key. And then the work begins.
Any hunting jeepers out there?
Saturday is opening day for Utah archery deer season. I'll be in the field and my jeep will have gotten me there. Anyone else headed out for an opening day hunt in their jeep?www.wayalife.com
And fuck…ask people for honest opinions about optics and we might as well be talking about lifts. So much fanboy it is crazy.Oh boy. Not sure if trolling or serious.

Oh my god. That’s so true. You can’t EVER get an honest answer. Everyone wants to say the glass they bought is the best. And fuck…ask people for honest opinions about optics and we might as well be talking about lifts. So much fanboy it is crazy.
How do you like the Shadow? I wouldn't mine having the Compact if we could get it here.Just wrapped up building a new blaster. Getting back into USPSA carry optics after a 4 year absence. Really excited to start competing again.

This is my second shadow 2 and they are excellent right out of the box. Some spring changes and the Cajun Gunworks trigger reach kit make it an absolute dream. It is heavy which is great for competition and while I have carried it, it’s not ideal. With the optic, light and 23 round mag it’s right below the USPSA weight limit of 59 ounces. The Shadow Compact is every bit as nice and I wouldn’t hesitate to carry one…. If I could find one. They’re a bit of a unicorn at the moment. How do you like the Shadow?
