Rock Lights

Ok Gals and Gents,

I will be grabbing some $20 Wal-Mart lights to throw on for rock lights. However, I do not really know of a good place to put them so they wont get hit by my tires or rocks. So that being said where have you guys mounted yours? Also where did you route your wires through on the rear?

Mahalo,

Jake

Eddie has a write up on these lights.

You need to mount them higher than what Eddie shows in his write-up or they will get hit. Ask me how I know.

I ran my rear along the frame to the front.

I got the underglow Rock lights I believe and it looks great and all but most of mine are starting to blow out. I'd say don't bother but maybe I just had bad luck with it.

Cheapo eBay led pods here. 12 of them if I remember correctly, been awhile since I installed them. Daisy chained them around the frame and wired them to a switch in the cab.

I also used some cheap Amazon lights. I used 7 of them. 2 in the front 2 on each side & one in the rear. I haven't had any problems with getting snagged by a rock yet. I did have to move the front 2 lights up to keep my tire from rubbing them at full flex.

I too hit mine on the front but I did figure out I should of turned the mount the other way so I replaced them that way and havent had a problem yet. I also mounted the rear on a hole near the rear upper shock mounts. I have a pair of Rigid Sr-m with a diffused lens in front... I use them all the time.

I don't have anything in the back, but these work great for what I need...ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1428020356.781037.jpg
