Caught the Bug
Got buds w chassis rigs, Kidd, Bergara and Vudoo. Open class and big money.
Im old and got bifocals at age 55. Aint gonna blow the big bucks to be bottom of the heap. Did look at some Anschutz, older and new. Tempting, but itd be a waste of money. None of my kids ( adults ) really shoot. So nobody would appreciate it if passed down ( no grandkids ).

I gotta final sand a forend to fit a boogeref up Ruger #3 somebody did in .219 Dw. Put #1 wood on it and changed rings. Beans too tall to go chuckin. Maybe next yr.

Gotta make a quiver extension as I dont like the span of my Thunderhorn on my Blackwidow PSA2.

Season be here before we know it!

Been working in my new backyard for a couple weeks now. Half of it was completely neglected and overgrown with weeds and rocks. Rented a tiller for a day and now I’m just taking it out and picking out rocks. We already planted 3 maples and 4 very small aspen clumps. We will be seeding in the next day or 2.

I was taught and primarily use handtools, but do have a few power tools for any big tasks or time sensitive projects. Just need a workshop for them and my jeep! 🤬

Caught the Bug
Well crap. Picked up a '95 standard 1022 last night NIB.
GM stainless sporter 20" and a Volq hammer will order this week.
Unsure of stock, maybe Magpul X22.

Fitted black new styler SBH grips to an old brass frame 3 screw .44 mag last night.
Powers base pin 1.5 thousandths over stock, took out some of the cylinder wobble.
BRC steel ejector shroud too, since orig was worn and loose.
Yanked safety conversion parts and put orig back in.
Inherited, hadnt been used in decades, old oils shellacked.
Total tear down and clean.
Blued finish is worn. Orig grips had shrunk, so got new pair of squashed eagles and the color just wrong.....new and lighter brown.
Black really helped overall look. But they're a little too new looking compared to rest of rig.
Might swap emblems and try to age them.
Or just let em get dinged up worn in on their own.

Gun season is what, 12 weeks away LOL
So a couple hrs time and 125 bucks or so in parts and the old rig is back up n running.

Now a total tear down and trigger swap on an old Ruger #1.
Yeeesh.
