In what way does taking money from one group of people in order to give to another "take from the economy"? If you have two bowls an two apples in one bowl, and then move one apple to the other bowl, then you still have two bowls and two apples. Nothing has been lost!

The first bowl is disappointed because it has just one apple, but the second bowl is elated since now it has an apple too!

Our economy is full of intermediaries, who take a share of each transaction without adding any value. But this is how it should be since otherwise those useless people would not have jobs!

Thanks for the confirmation

It’s not when something catastrophic happens. An overnight stay in the hospital with any kind of surgery is likely to bankrupt 90% of the people in this country.

It's not hard. Where do you think "government money" comes from?
It comes from taxes.
How can you tax the people who work in government and healthcare enough to to be able to pay the costs of government and healthcare?
Both are parasitic to a healthy host economy, and the more the infestation grows the less it leaves to feed and grow the host.
  • "The largest shares of total health spending were sponsored by the federal government (33 percent) and the households (28 percent). The private business share of health spending accounted for 18 percent of total health care spending, state and local governments accounted for 15 percent, and other private revenues accounted for 7 percent."

My company has plenty of construction work to be performed and not enough people to do it. I’m not trying to say the economy is fantastic across all sectors or that healthcare and gov’t aren’t self-feeding monsters (particularly gov’t), but there is plenty of work to be done and not enough hard working people willing to do it. And we pay really, really well with full health benefits for the entire family.

It’s too easy now for people not to work. We have millions who won’t work- and haven’t for years. Making that group get to work should be the priority. Welfare reform is a great start. Every able bodied citizen should work and should pay taxes at some level.

Chickens are dinosaurs. They literally eat each other. Zero fuck given by them.
I used to help out with a family friend's coop down here and seriously, we had to separate some of the roosters and hens because if one of them fucked up the pecking order all hell broke loose... Used to come out to feathers plucked out and their asses all bloodied and torn apart by others.

We have coverage. But not the typical health insurance.
Ya, as long as you have something for even mildly serious events, that’s all you really need. The second you have broken bone, require surgery of any kind, or have to stay overnight…shit gets real pretty quick if you are uninsured. Many places won’t even see you which is a whole other issue.

With three very active and athletic kids (now young adults), I’ve definitely had years where I was very thankful I had real insurance.

It seems that quite a lot of government money comes from borrowing rather than "taxes". Things would be going relatively great if the government could operate within the bounds of the taxes it collects. But now it seems that almost half the money that the government spends (or gives away to another country) is borrowed from our future!

The healthcare system is so broken. We don’t have health insurance anymore (by choice) and our babies doctor takes 80% off the bill for self pay. It’s wild. In fact, we brought her last year to the doctor when she got sick (six months old and wife was worried for her first illness) and they didn’t even charge us. Checked her out and no bill. Healthcare insurance is the biggest scam.

We don’t have healthcare by choice either, it’s cheaper to pay off my son’s birth (c section) on a monthly basis plus doctors visits as needed than health insurance for us.

Borrowing and printing. Every dollar printed lessens the value of every dollar printed before it.

I smell socialism.

Liberty is a well-armed farmer with two bowls and two apples. And that farmer will
gladly share the apples with whomever the fuck he wants to because he likes his neighbors, and not because someone forced him to share.

Oh, and fuck the intermediaries.
