Random Internet Shit you've come across

Well that’s it for mahindra.
I think they had a real case until they admitted that it looked like a cj.
Don’t know why Jeep gives a crap? It’s a side by side not a street car, none of the parts are swappable, it’s just a doorless off road toy.

I do agree with jeep though. It is the foundation that jeep was built on, literally, and to not have the brand on it hurts the name.

Ehh. It’s not like they were replicating the seven slot grille. And plenty of other manufacturers made the original army GP’s. Pretty sure across the ocean has a few direct rip offs as well that are actually road vehicles. I don’t honestly see how a souped up golf cart is any danger to their brand or more importantly their profit. Someone looking to buy a wrangler isn’t gonna buy a side by side. Apples and oranges.

Then why doesn’t Jeep build it?

But when the Roxor is directly using the look and feel of a classic Jeep, even with out the seven slot grill, to generate sales verses coming up with their own design direction, I can see and agree with FCAs point. If you want to build a side by side, Come up with you own design like Everyone else did. And I get the oversees issue, but they have no control over that.

And I think Jeep should come back with a CJ inspired Side by Side!

Because then it would be 45k and then tease a diesel option for years.

(i) A boxy body shape with flat appearing vertical side and rear body panels ending at about the same height as the hood;

(ii) Substantially flat hood with curved side edges that tapers to be narrower at the front;

(iii) Trapezoidal front wheel wells with front fenders or fender flares that extend beyond the front of the grille;

(iv) Flat appearing grille with vertical elongated grille slots and a trapezoidal outline that curves around round headlamps positioned on the upper part of the grille;

(v) Exterior hood latches;

(vi) Door cutouts above a bottom portion of the side body panels

Soooo according to their suit vehicles are infringing on Jeep (from 50 years ago) design by
having a door cutout- so other vehicles can’t have door holes.
Having exterior hood latches, Bc they’re the only ones that do right?
Having a boxy shape
A vertical grille
And a flat hood?

I agree the fenders and lights are a pretty direct rip. But as a whole I think they’re plenty different. Not that I have any use for a side by side anyways just an interesting read.

Mahindra started by making CJs under licence in the 40s. The Roxor is an evolution due to minor revisions over 70 years so of course it’s going to be similar

Except that Mahindra got a license from Willys to build CJ3A type vehicle in 1947.
