One of my favourite pieces of camping/overlanding gear is this Kovea butane gas torch. Makes lighting the campfire so easy when conditions aren't perfect. This and many similar can be found on eBay.

What are people's thoughts on spade vs shovel? Spade being pointy and shovel being flat end.

I'd imagine a spade would be more useful. I've only ever found flat ended shovels to be good for scooping, & cleaning up. ♠️

We carry one of each in the WJ and a spade style in the JK. The spade is more for snow and digging someone out or digging ourselves out. Used the snow shovel a ton, but I also camp a lot in the winter. Truthfully, the pointed shovel, I only use for extinguishing campfires in the summer, I've had no other need for it myself. It doesn't take up much room though, Home Depot shorty one.

Quick fists on those? Never used those but probably going to end up with 20 of them mounted in the Jeep once I start

I have a question for the northerners from a guy who's been in Hawaii for 40 years...what's the best snow shovel to carry on your rig...I won't need a two piece...I'm mounting a couple quick fist's on the bed rails of the JK6...

I would look at a sweet backcountry shovel. They make some really nice ones similar to the one I took a pic of earlier today and posted in this thread. Lightweight, tough, scoops snow like crazy, and would look pretty sweet on the JK6.
