Oklahoma

Check out Clayton, Ok. Awesome trails, but the trails are pretty hard core. I heard Disney, Ok. Is fun, but i havent been there. There is also some cool sand dunes close to the panhandle.

man, we've driven though your neck of the woods twice this year and both times, weren't able to check out any of your trails. what a bummer :grayno:

My favorite wheeling destination in OK is a place called Buzzard Canyon ORV Park. It's about 120 miles west of OKC off I40, and about 15 miles south of Sayre (middle of *nowhere*). There is a LOT of steep terrain there, especially for OK. Lots of very challenging rocky climbs as well. It's far enough from populated areas that it never gets busy, and there is a lot of acreage to cover.

Great place to explore if you're ever in the area... which is unlikely.

When I was living out there, I never had the opportunity to get to Buzzard Canyon. I always had something conflicting with their open wheel weekends.
However, I did make it to the coppermines ORV park a few times.
The coppermines are about 20 SW of Altus, it was a fun park with good people from all aound.
To get there from Lawton:
Head west on 62 to Altus,
Turn South on 283, travel for about 10miles
Turn west on E1750 (Elmer Rd), travel for about 10miles.
the coppermines are between N1950 and N1920.

However, google them as they don't always have Open Wheel weekends.
