Vertical travel is the distance measured from your bump stop pad on your axle up to the rubber jounce stop attached to your frame. This measurement should be taken with the axle horizontal to the ground and frame, NOT flexed out. With your Jeep on the ground, this distance would be the amount of uptravel you have. To find out your total vertical travel, raise your Jeep up and set the frame rails on jack stands. Remove your wheels and lower your axle until it's hanging - take another measurement and that's what you have total. :yup:
