Looking for a sun shade top....

Anyone know of a top that doesn't require the use of the door surrounds.

I have the 2door long spider web shade and I was impressed with it when it was on my jeep. Right now I have a trek top nx on, mainly because of the swing in weather, but the spiderwebshade was on for about 2 weeks and I didn't have any issues. You can definitely tell the difference when it's on vs nothing. The long version I have comes all the way back to behind the rear seat head rests to give the passengers in the rear coverage on their necks. They also sell side windows to complete a cage with the long version. It will be going back on once we get through our weather swings. The trek top nx is nice because I can zip off both the side and rear windows and I am left with a bestop bikini top that has a sun rider feature.

I can only agree with the Spiderweb Shade. Awesome! I just ditched my rugged ridge shade for one and wished I'd gone that route first. Highly recommend!

Ive been searching the same. I ran across another jeep site that had this custom shade. He goes by
JMG designs and I'm going to call him tonight. Google it, as his tops are pretty sick. Better than spider shade from what Ive been reading. Ill report back in a few.

Here are some photos of what I found. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1371515483.385988.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1371515495.367360.jpg

I'm interested to see what they cost since they are custom. I left a voice mail at what I think is his number.

Here is my dirtydog one piece and netting. I'm verry happy with them and thr coverage. Even the dog likes em.

I loved my spiderweb shade but if I get another one, (recently sold the spiderweb shade), I will get a dirty dog because of fitment issues. But for now I just leave the top on the trektop on an am happy with it.

I second the DirtyDog4x4 shade. Love mine I got the one piece top and back shade. It's easy, fits great, and its easy to put my hard top over if a storm comes in. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1371530272.688319.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1371530278.836319.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1371530286.702924.jpg

Like the looks of the dirty dog,but do you have to take it off to run the hardtop. I also like the looks of the trektop nx with the windows out but I don't like the looks of the door surrounds though.

I noticed them way more with my spiderweb shade and no doors then I do like this.

Check out www.gearshade.com and see if that's what you are looking for. If it is, and you want one, I'll sell you mine. I bought it at Jeep Beach a few months ago but ended up selling my hardtop and buying a trektop nx which can be converted to a bikini so I don't really see myself using the GearShade.

Not sure on the hard top as I don't have one, but I never take my shade or netting off with the soft top. U unsnap the two snaps where the latches are for the top, and secure them. Sunshade is out of the way, and almost makes it feel like a headliner.
